Self-worth

Definition: Respect for or a favourable opinion of oneself.

Would you say you have self worth?

I wanted to talk about this for a while as I believe it is one of the most important topics to discuss with people of all ages. There are many people in the world who do not have a good opinion of themselves, who think they are not worth it. Too many! Here and now I just want to tell you that you are worth it and that there are people out there who love you and who care about you!
Low self-esteem can be caused by a variety of things, bullying being one of them. If you are a victim of bullying, please speak up!! It is important you tell someone and search for help. It is also important that you know it is not your fault, but the bullies one!

I know a lot of teenagers who hate their body, who feel like they don't fit in. Thoughts like 'I am not pretty enough' or 'I am fat' destroy their self esteem. I myself know how hard it can be to accept yourself, and I am still struggling at times. Because there will always be someone prettier or skinnier than you. However that does not mean they are worth more than you. Or maybe you are not one of the 'popular kids', who go to all the parties and get drunk. At the time you're in school this might be the most important thing, you'd feel like you are not worth it. I know exactly how you feel. You might think you're missing out on life. But just take a look at the people who are seen as cool. They all have their own stories. In the end, are they happier than you? Does it really make them content being invited to all those parties and getting incredibly drunk? Think about it.

One of the most important things we have to learn in life is to stop comparing ourselves to other people. We have to stop wanting to fit in and start being our unique selves! Every single person out there is good at something, has a talent or a passion which they can follow. If you're sitting there saying 'I can't think of anything', then start experimenting. Try out new stuff. Go to that dance class on a Wednesday afternoon, start campaigning for animal rights or try and bake a masterpiece. It takes a while to find something which you truly love, but it will be worth it! Because the key to self-esteem is being proud of oneself. Achieving something that you are passionate about can be the best feeling in the world. So don't fear trying out new things and connecting with people you have never met before. Other people can be so inspiring and uplifting, and through the internet you have a thousand possibilities to connect with people. The next time you see yourself in a mirror, think about one tiny little thing you like about yourself! I promise, it will make you feel better. Also try and write down one thing you are thankful for every single day. You can even use an app, e.g. Gratitude, for that. I have started using this app a while ago and even after a really shit day, where I came home and just wanted to bury myself in bed, I'd find one thing I was happy about. Even if it is just that lovely cup of tea you're mum made you. This will make you see the positives in things more and it will lead you to seeing the positive things in yourself. I truly believe that every single person on this earth is here for a reason.
Make it count!

Anti-bucket list

I saw this idea on http://fatmumslim.com.au and immediately loved it!  Its so different to what I usually do and I think it sounds really fun. It's not meant to spread negativity or offend anyone so please don't take it seriously :)

So here are 15 things I hope I'll never have to do:

1) Take part in 'I'm a celebrity get me out of here' (love watching it tho)

2) Have a divorce.

3) Come across a snake in wilderness

4) Stay a night in a haunted house! I get scared so easily.

5) Have plastic surgery.

6) Pretend I am someone I'm not!

7) Watch my life pass by while sitting in an office.

8) Be forced into doing anything I don't want to e.g. drugs.

9) Be friends with someone who is racist, homophobic or similar.

10) Watch my mum cry because of me!

11) Eat squid. Or an animal's brain.

12) Do the smoothie challenge.

13) Witness a war.

14) Having to deal with Internet hate.

15) Stop doing what I love!

What is on your guys' anti-bucket list? And what is something that you really want to accomplish in your life?
I love reading all your comments, they make me super happy!
Love you lots ♥

3 Collection products I am loving

I love drugstore makeup. Good quality for a great price. One of my favourite drugstore makeup brands is Collection. At first I was sceptical about it because it is soo incredibly inexpensive and I have made many bad experiences with brands like that. However Collection products are mostly of great quality, considering the price. Recently I have been especially loving three of their products:

Lasting Perfection Concealer
This concealer is nothing new in the world of beauty. I believe every single beauty blogger has talked about it, but I cannot not include it because it really is amazing. It does an amazing job at covering spots, redness or under eye circles and the colour range isn't too bad either. Moreover it does stay on a long time! I have been using this product for absolutely ages, but recently I have been wearing it every single day... I'm yet to find a better concealer.

Extreme 24 hour felt tip liner
I tried this out on my hand in Superdrug a few weeks ago and didn't think much of it as I believed something that cheap won't stay on for long anyway. Well, never judge a book by its cover! In the evening I noticed that the black line was still there. Shocker. This eye liner is easy to use and creates a nice thin line, but it does loose a bit of its blackness after a couple of hours. Still I love this product and would definitely recommend it if you are on a budget.

Lip definer in 5 Damson
Gorgeous colour that looks lovely on. I would recommend wearing it with a lipstick or a lipgloss in a similar dark berry colour as it does fade with time or when you eat. I've been wearing this constantly since it has been getting colder, the colour just screams fall!

Hope you like this kind of post! Let me know what you're favourite products from Collection are :) Love you guys <3

'Get to know me' tag

Today I thought it would be nice to do the 21 question tag where I tell you a bit about myself.

I was looking for a tag to do and saw this one on several blogs. In my opinion it is always entertaining to read, so I gave it a go myself.

1. Are you named after anyone?
Not that I know of. My parents were looking for nice baby names in one of those books that gives you hundreds of name suggestions and I guess they just liked the name Isabel. It was a bit of a let down to find out that my name has no special story to it, but I eventually got over it. For my blog I used my nickname "Bell", just because why not.

2. When was the last time you cried?
A few days ago. Sometimes when everything gets too much it just feels good to let it all out. I've been drowning in work recently, especially after missing school due to my operation, so it has all been a bit stressful.

3. Do you have kids?
No, I'm still far too young.

4. If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself?
That's such a difficult question, I honestly don't know. I hope so, because I want to be all that I value in other people. Realistically tho I think it would take me a while to make friends with myself because I am quite shy in the beginning.

5. Do you use sarcasm a lot?
No who does that?! Joking ;) I use sarcasm all the time, sometimes to the point where my friends can't tell whether I am being serious or not.

6. Will you ever bungee-jump?
It's on my bucket list (if I had one). I'm scared of heights so the thought of it absolutely terrifies me, but I LOVE to challenge myself and see if I can jump over my own shadow.

7. What's your favourite cereal?
Up to a month ago I used to be obsessed with Shreddies, but at the moment I am loving muesli with raisins and nuts.

8. What’s the first thing you notice about people?
They're facial expression. If someone is smiling, I feel a lot more comfortable around them. After that probably eyes, I love looking into people's eyes (sounds a bit creepy). There's just something so personal and unique about someones eyes!

9. What is your eye colour?
Speaking of eyes haha. My eyes are blue.

10. Scary movie or happy endings?
Happy endings! I'm such a coward when it comes to scary movies, I can't watch them. My brain technically knows that it is not real, but I get terrified anyway.

11. Favourite smells?
The sea, cinnamon, vanilla, the air after it has rained.

12. Summer or winter?
Winter. Hot drinks, cuddling inside, the excitement for Christmas, Christmas markets, snow and presents. Winter has got it all.

13. Computer or television?
Computer all the way. I barely watch TV anymore, I can do that on my computer. However I do enjoy watching films on TV, especially with friends or family.

14. What’s the furthest you’ve ever been from home?
Probably Bali last summer. I went there with my family, however it wasn't my favourite holiday as I couldn't deal with the incense sticks everywhere and the extreme heat.

15. Do you have any special talents?
Um nothing too exciting. I love drawing and I am good at maths (doesn't mean I enjoy it). I am very sensitive so I can deal with other people's emotions and relate to them quite well.

16. Where were you born?
Germany.

17. What are your hobbies?
Drawing, fashion, shopping, doing makeup, dancing, sport in general, exploring, watching youtubers and a lot more. One of my favourite things to do is write on this blog and take photographs for it.

18. Do you have any pets?
Two cats which I adore! However a year ago I suddenly started getting severe allergic reactions after touching them, so now I have to keep my distance from them. Heartbreaking...

19. Favourite movie?
I am certain there is one which I absolutely adore but can't think of right now. I'll add it when I remember... However I love all Disney movies (FROZEN) and know all songs by heart.

20. Do you have any siblings?
Yes, two sisters. I am the middle child.

21. What do you want to be when you grow up?
Content.
Career wise I am dreaming of being a fashion designer or beauty blogger.

That's all the questions. I hope you enjoyed this kind of post.
I tag everyone who reads this :)

Also I finally got twitter,  it would be amazing if you would follow me https://twitter.com/fashionblogbell

My fall essentials

At first I want to apologise for my long blogging absence. I've been in hospital recently and had problems getting all the pictures I wanted. I have missed blogging a lot.
Anyway, fall has finally hit England, its getting colder and whereas many people are moaning about it, I am loving it. FINALLY it is acceptable to cuddle up in bed with a good book and a hot drink. And that's exactly what this blog post is about: the things I (and hopefully you too) love in fall.
Enjoy :)

Sweaters

My love for sweaters is something I could talk about for ever. They are so easy to style, just put on a pair of leggings/disco pants/skinny jeans and throw on an over sized sweater. Moreover they keep you nice and cosy in fall. Just perfect..
Here are six of my favourite samples. The one in the top left corner is vintage, I drew the smiley face on it and added the collar. The top middle one is from New Look and a staple in my wardrobe (I sometimes wear it with my whatever beanie which you'll see below :D). The red sweater is from boohoo and I love it endlessly due to its effortless and stylish look. Now, everyone needs at least one Christmas sweater in their wardrobe, mine is from Glimpse design and it is soooo comfy. Next is my super over sized grey sweater from FB sister (no idea where I got that) which says Keep Calm on the sleeves and is perfect for layering or adding lots of jewelry. Last is the bottom right sweater with the studded crosses, which was a massive trend a few years ago but I still love it (New Look).

Beanies

I think this one is obvious. Perfect for those bad-hair days or when your ears are freezing. At the same time they look super cute  and I think they just add a nice touch to every outfit. Here are three of my beanies. The green one is from Topshop and I got it for St Nicholas day last year and I don't think I've ever loved an accessory this much. It's just perfection.
Topshop                             River Island                                                     Aldo

Pumpkins

Yes, I know Halloween is over. To be honest I wanted to post these photos earlier but just never managed to do it. However I make pumpkin soup all throughout fall and also leave my carved pumpkins out as long as possible. For me they are just a fall staple, so I thought I'd include them. I forget every year how disgusting the actual carving part is, because the shaping of the pumpkin face is just so much fun. It's an awesome activity to do with family or friends!

Comment which one you think is mine!

Hot chocolate/tea and biscuits

As I mentioned earlier, I looove me a cup of tea! Add some nice biscuits and finished is your instant fall feel. There's just nothing better than sitting all cuddled up with a hot drink inside while it is raining or freezing cold outside.
Look at my fancy effects.... ;)

A good book

This is so important in fall! You spend a lot more time inside, warming up (with your tea) and you can't just always watch a film or be online. Sometimes you need a break from all that stuff and read a good old hardback book! I'm on the hunt for one at the moment, so if you have one that you love please tell me. I recently saw the maze runner so I think I'll definitely try and get my hands on that book. And if you say you don't like reading, then just try audible.co.uk. I haven't tried it out myself yet but everyone is raving about it and it seems to be perfect for those people who don't like reading themselves.

Booties

My staple shoe in fall. Fits with everything, keeps your feet dry and looks stylish. If you don't have a pair, I strongly suggest you get one in a neutral colour as soon as possible.

Fuzzy socks

Please tell me you understand what I'm on about! Fuzzy socks are heaven on earth when it gets cold. They keep your feet super snug and are just addictive.

Candles

Candles just make everything look more like fall. They turn your room into a cosy haven for the cold fall time. I love candles, especially scented ones, all year round but in fall they just seem to get even better. The scents that are on the market at the moment smell soooo incredible good (e.g. Christmas treats by Yankee Candle) and put you in a Christmasy mood. Every year, every beauty blogger goes on about candles and I wish I could say I'm any different, but they are just too good. I love putting my candles (here a vanilla cinnamon scented one) in cute glasses like this one from Vienna, so they double as a room decoration.

Woo you've made it till the end. I hope you enjoyed this post, please tell me what I  should write about next. I hope you're having an amazing fall! Sending hugs out to you!
